Asher Lately

It's cold in Kentucky, but Asher has been staying warm in his favorite blanket. One night Uncle Mel decided to join him before bed.

Asher is still smiling and learning to sit up in his borrowed bumbo chair.

We have finally figured out that Asher does not like baths in the bath tub, he prefers the sink. Now we have a clean, happy baby.

We have had some nice days. On one of those unseasonably warm afternoons we went outside so Roger could take some pictures with his new camera in the amazing late afternoon light.

Asher's First Christmas

Asher had a great first Christmas. He got some fun new toys, lots of book and some cute clothes. We spent Christmas Day in Paducah with Courtney's family and then later headed to Lexington so Asher could meet the rest of his family.

Here's our little elf on Christmas morning.

Asher got some fun toys from Uncle Mel and lots of books from Mommy and Daddy. Here we are helping Asher open his presents. Of course, he didn't really get the whole present thing, but we still enjoyed getting him some gifts and opening them in front of him.

After opening presents we tried to stuff Asher into his stocking for a cute Christmas morning picture.

Our chunky baby boy wouldn't fit in the stocking, but he still gave us a big smile while we tried.

Here's the whole family on Christmas Day.

At Asher's next Christmas celebration we enjoyed more family time and presents and Asher was dressed like (a very sleepy) Santa Claus.

It was a great holiday season! To see more pictures go to Zenfolio.

3 Months

This post is a little late due to our move across the world, Christmas, and our power cord getting left in Indonesia. But all is well now. A little bit of the busyness of the Holidays have passed and things are starting to slow down and return to normal, even if it is a different (American) sort of normal.
Asher enjoyed his first international flights and has made a great adjustment to the time change and the climate change.
Asher had his first visit to the American doctor soon after we arrived home. He weighed in at 13 pounds, 10 ounces and is 25 inches long. The boy has been growing! The doctor said he was healthy and growing. He has gotten even better at holding up his head during the past month and has also learned how to put his fist (the entire thing!) in his mouth. Asher is working on learning to grab his toys instead of just batting at them.
Here is a three month picture.
